1968 Mustang Hardtop, "L.B.", vermillion red w/black vinyl top. 289cc, C-4 automatic transmission, deluxe black/woodgrain interior with upper and lower console, FlowMaster dual exhaust, exterior decor group & vintage Magnum 500 wheels..
2006 Mustang Coupe, "EVO", Legend Lime with black GT stripes. 4.0L, 5-speed stick, graphite/carbon fiber dash with billet aluminum knobs & trim pieces.
I originally bought "L.B.", my 1968 Hardtop on August 9, 2003. It was supposed to be a "Fully Restored Beauty". I soon found out that wasn't the case. I have been finishing the job for the last 4 years. The latest thing that was done, was the C-4 transmission was rebuilt and it was switched from a single exhaust glasspack to a dual FlowMaster system. The car runs much cooler now, too. The funny thing is, the VIN indicates the car used to be Lime Gold (pretty much the same color as my other car) with a vinyl top. It had an Ivy Gold deluxe interior. The people had changed the interior to a deluxe black interior and painted the outside Vermillion Red and put a new black vinyl top on him (I like this color combination much better).

Frank and I decided that our 1995 Chevy G30 van was starting to have too many problems. It had a water leak that was going to be kind of costly to fix and we wondered how much more after that. I got the bug to look for another car. I decided that a daily driver 2006 Mustang Coupe was just what I needed. So, January 14, 2006, "EVO" came home with us. He started out plain Jane Legend Lime green with no spoiler. Everyone told me how much they disliked the color. I had to do something. So, in March, I got a green spoiler for him. That still wasn't enough. I had him striped. Unfortunately, the first place that striped him was a sign shop that had been recommended to me, and they did such a horrible job, I almost didn't take him home. A week later, I called the guy back and told him it just wasn't acceptable. I returned to the shop, had the stripes taken back off and my money refunded. Unfortunately, during the process of removing the stripes from the spoiler, a lot of t he green paint came off with them.

What to do? I had a show that next weekend in Oak Harbor. It was to be EVO's first time out to a show. I went to a local paint shop, who agreed to paint the spoiler gloss black in exchange for 3 pizzas. Alas, the next day I had a black spoiler on the car. It was just what was needed for a more agressive look. That weekend, I took first place in 70-Present Stock at the Whidbey Cruizers show at Oak Harbor.
